About British Calculators
Free, independent UK financial calculators

What We Do

BritishCalculators.com provides free, easy-to-use calculators covering UK tax, salary, property and everyday money questions — from take-home pay and stamp duty to inheritance tax and student loan repayments. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser: nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere.

Who's Behind This Site

BritishCalculators.com is owned and operated by Virtual Random LLC, a company registered in Georgia (Identification Number 400481260, registered 25 August 2026 with the Georgian National Agency of Public Registry) with its registered address at Erosi Manjgaladze Street, No. 75a, Nadzaladevi District, Tbilisi, Georgia. We're an independent publisher — we are not HMRC, GOV.UK, Revenue Scotland, the Welsh Revenue Authority, or any other government body, and we don't provide regulated financial or tax advice.

We're a small, independent team building tools we'd want to use ourselves. We don't currently publish individual author bylines on every calculator, but every page on this site is written and reviewed in-house before publishing, and updated whenever UK tax rates change each April (or sooner, when a Budget changes something mid-year).

How We Keep Calculators Accurate

Every calculator on this site is built against publicly published rates and thresholds from HMRC, Revenue Scotland, the Welsh Revenue Authority, and other official UK government sources. We cross-check figures against multiple official and reputable secondary sources before publishing, and we review every calculator at least once a year, at the start of the new UK tax year in April, and sooner if a Budget or Finance Act changes a rate.

That said, tax rules are complex, change often, and depend heavily on individual circumstances. We do our best to keep every figure current and correct, but mistakes are possible, and rules can change after we publish. Please read our full disclaimer before relying on any figure for a real financial decision, and always confirm anything important with HMRC, the relevant devolved tax authority, or a qualified accountant or financial adviser.

Found a Mistake?

If you spot a rate that looks out of date, a calculation that seems wrong, or anything else that doesn't look right, please tell us — we want to fix it. See our Contact page for how to reach us.

How the Site Is Funded
